Scoring 60 or more points in an NBA game is a monumental task and there are only 32 players who have achieved this feat since the league started. One of those said 32 players, Damian Lillard, dropped 71 points in a 131-114 win over the Houston Rockets last night. With this brilliant showing, the Portland Trail Blazers superstar surpassed the NBA legend Michael Jordan in the All-Time career 60-point games list. The now 32-year-old might have passed the Chicago Bulls legend, but fans were more focused on two-time NBA champion Wilt Chamberlain’s video game record in the list.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend tops the All-Time career 60-point game list in the most dominant way imaginable. In fact, the number of times he has scored 60 or more points in his NBA career is quite unbelievable.

Recently, an NBA page shared a post that revealed the names of the top five players in the all-time career 60-point game list. Chamberlain sat at the top of the list with 61 games, while the Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant occupied a very distant second position with six games. Meanwhile, Lillard occupied the third position with five games. Both MJ and the Philadelphia 76ers icon James Harden sat in the fourth position with four games to their tally.

From the aforementioned stats, it is quite understandable that Lillard has a long way to go before he could match the the 13x All-Star’s astonishing record. Although, that seems to be a very improbable possibility as things stand now. However, there was a small mistake in the aforementioned post’s tally.

In fact, Chamberlain has scored 60 or more points in 32 games in his career, not in 61 games. However, even after considering that, it is highly unlikely that the Trail Blazers guard could ever match the Lakers icon’s record at this stage of his career where he is not the young one anymore.

Fans chime in on Wilt Chamberlain’s unbelievable record

They swarmed into the comment section of Twitter to share their thoughts and opinions.
