Jonathan Majors was on his way to arguably becoming the next big thing in Hollywood after he bagged several major roles. From Creed III’s Damian Anderson to the Marvel franchise’s Kang the Conqueror, Majors has exhibited his acting range. He was also set to portray eccentric Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman in the upcoming biopic. However, recent developments now suggest that the 33-year-old actor might have lost the Rodman-inspired project and several more.
As the name suggests, Lionsgate’s “48 hours in Vegas” will show the events that took place during the 1998 NBA Finals. Rodman’s infamous mid-season trip to Vegas came into light when the 10-part docuseries “The Last Dance” was released.

Since the movie was first announced, Jonathan Majors remained the likeliest actor to fill Dennis Rodman’s shoes. After months of speculations, ESPN reported that Majors have been locked down for the titular role. At the time, Majors was already under the spotlight for his new releases – “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “Creed III”.
In late March, Majors was charged with multiple assaults and harassment filed by an unnamed woman. She accused the NAACP Award recipient of implementing bodily harm by striking her in the face. The legal charges have thrown Majors’ career in jeopardy as reports of his exclusion from the biopic began making rounds.
Sources of Giant Freaking Robot revealed that Lionsgate has ‘quietly removed’ Majors from the Rodman movie. As of now, there are no further reports as to who the makers might cast as the protagonist.
