The Phoenix Suns have been drowning in chaos at a steady pace. At first, this chaos may seem connected to their on-court struggles of bagging a three-loss streak. However, the Suns’ mess can be traced back to the offseason. The team’s tumultuous time started when their owner Robert Saver faced the burnt of the public. Amidst this, new reports about the team’s ownership have resulted in an online meltdown for the fans.

Earlier in the year, Robert Saver was accused of misconduct and toxic work behavior. Following an investigation by the NBA, the league penalized him with a year-long suspension and a 10 million dollar fine. Subsequently, Saver announced that he would be selling the Phoenix Suns and the WNBA team, Phoenix Mercury.
Reports emerged that Amazon founder Jeffery Bezos and former President Barack Obama could potentially buy the team. However, since then this information has been dismissed. With that said, a recent report by the Wall Street Journal has left Suns’ fans in a state of anger.
Fans in shambles after new reports about Phoenix Suns emerge
The report stated that two venture capitalists have made a 3-billion-dollar bid to buy both the Phoenix-based teams. This included Shasta Ventures and Tech billionaire Peter Thiel’s company, Thiel Capital. The involvement of Peter Thiel left fans infuriated. Over time, much like Robert Saver, Thiel has been subjected to having a controversial stance on issues. His alleged behavior and past allegations don’t make him the popular choice amongst fans.
Following the release of this report, fans were quick to express their displeasure online. Some stated that Thiel Capital’s involvement would be the “worst-case scenario” for the Suns. The others also highlighted the hate the Suns usually face in the league. They believe that more dislike and trolls are coming the teams’ way. One tweet, in particular, said, “as if we couldn’t be hated more.” Fans even claimed that the team was giving them nothing but pain.

Testing times
