The 27-year-old said James was old, and it was easier to guard him now compared to his Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers version. Even though the four-time NBA champion shut him down in style with his performances in the subsequent games, a Boston Celtics legend recently gave Brooks and anyone who aspires to go at The King some advice.

2008 NBA champion and Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce is one of LeBron’s biggest rivals in his career. From numerous playoff battles to occasional off-court jibes, Pierce and LeBron just had to go through each other in the hopes of winning it all. Moreover, Pierce is one of the very few people who can claim they got the upper hand on James on more than one occasion. His recent tweet suggests he has LeBron figured out better than most.

Pierce and the Celtics have had their fair share of epic battles against James. Their rivalry became so big that the Celtics legend apparently continues to dislike the Lakers superstar to date. Although the Celtics legend has the utmost respect for James, the 10x All-Star never misses an opportunity to take down The King. Pierce even celebrated the Celtics’ win over the Lakers a few months ago at the expense of James.

Pierce recently took to Twitter and said, “Talk to me if u wanna go at Lebron if u need advice I?m his biggest rival bro.” As said earlier, the Celtics legend was a big rival of James, and therefore he was ready to provide Brooks and others with any sort of help in slowing down the four-time champion.

Brooks caught a lot of flak for refusing to address the media after losing Games 3 and 4. So it’d be interesting to see if Brooks reaches out to Pierce for some advice as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Los Angeles Lakers and forced Game 6 last night.
