Shaquille O’Neal, who grew up in Newark, once intended to provide people with a one-of-a-kind movie-watching experience. As a result, he decided to spend $7 million on a movie theater. Speaking of movies, that theater, years ago, screened the contentious film that Kyrie Irving has received flak for promoting, as per latest claims. Irving promoted a film based on a controversial book that supposedly had antisemitic undertones. The Brooklyn Nets guard was widely criticized as a result. Many NBA stars, including Shaq, slammed Irving for his actions.

On 28th October, Irving promoted a movie that was released in 2018. The movie is based on an allegedly antisemitic book. And after the post, Irving found himself on the wrong side of history again. As a result, he got suspended for five games, and had to pay $500,000 in fines. In addition, multiple brands opted out of their endorsement deals with the veteran guard. Furthermore, this whole controversy hampered his reputation.
