Anthony Edwards has taken the NBA world by storm. Ever since getting drafted number one by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2020, the 20-year-old has established himself as one of the best young players in the league. Some credit for that can be given to NBA legend Michael Jordan.
Edwards has been compared to Jordan by many analysts and fans due to a similar game style. Although MJ was a freak athlete himself, Edwards’s athleticism is jaw-dropping. Jordan, the Charlotte Hornets owner, was present at Edwards’ pre-draft workout. While the Hornets had the third pick in the draft, Jordan gave some unforgettable advice to Edwards.

Anthony Edwards revealed in an interview in 2020 about the advice he received from the six-time champion. “It was mostly just, ?Use your butt more in the post, in the mid-post,‘” Edwards said. He continued, ?I feel like that was the best thing he told me. He was like, ‘You?re stronger than I am. You?re more athletic. You?re bigger than me. Use your butt more and create more space and you?re gonna be unguardable.'”
Michael Jordan is considered to be the best mid-range scorer in NBA history. He was deadly while posting people up and had a plethora of moves to get a bucket. Be it a turnaround jumper or a roll to the basket, MJ had it all. Many players have tried to emulate the Chicago Bulls legend with considerably lesser effect.
