According to the reports coming out of the Lakers’ camp, the star to be sacrificed first is Russell Westbrook. The former MVP has had one of his worst seasons and has looked unsettled throughout the year. Moreover, star player Anthony Davis’ latest words reveal he and LeBron are prepared to stay another year.
Anthony Davis drops major update regarding future
Dubbed as championship favorites at the start of the season, the Los Angeles Lakers failed to make it into the playoffs. The team struggled for the entire season and their results showed exactly that.
The loss against the Phoenix Suns put the team out of their misery as they official slipped out of play in contention. What really surprised fans is that despite having Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and LeBron James in their roster, the team failed to make an impact.

While Westbrook struggled with form all season, Davis was in the midst of an injury crisis. He has missed out on a lot of games this season and that has affected the team.
Furthermore, he gave some major updates regarding the future of himself and LeBron James. He said, “I think us two can. We’ve shown that we can. I don’t know that’s something we just have to reevaluate in the offseason, upstairs, me and him talking about this season and what we would like to see next season and kind of just figure it out.”
Although Westbrook has faced the wrath of the media and the fans all season, Davis had some kind words for him. He said, “Russ isn’t a one-man show. He can’t beat teams by himself.”
How has Russell Westbrook played this season?
Russell Westbrook has been the scapegoat this season. Despite the Lakers front trio only playing 21 games together this season, he has faced most of the blame.
