After two decades of relentless scoring, LeBron James achieved what was considered impossible. The 38-year-old superstar passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to complete the most awaited story of the season. Needing 36 points before tonight, the King started hot. Right at the end of the third quarter, James hit arguably the most defining shot in recent history. Likewise, the entire arena and his teammates rose in delight, jumping over the legend. However, his closest ally, Anthony Davis seemed rather disconnected.
Each season, AD and James rank as a top duo. Their dynamic produced instant results. Notably, the Lakers won their 17th title with the pair as the spearheads. However, since then, the days have been dark. The two haven’t reached their full potential. This has arguably been because injuries have derailed their ceiling.
The last few seasons ended frustratingly, with Davis missing the majority of the games. Now back healthy, the expectations were once again stacked up with the Lakers. It carries huge value for the legacy of either. So while Anthony Davis watched his counterpart rewrite history, the 29-year-old didn’t seem the most thrilled.

A clip went shared on Twitter went viral. It was the moment James hit the shot everyone was waiting for. All the Lakers were on their feet, strolling in anticipation. When it finally happened, the pop was loud. However, Anthony Davis sat quietly on the team bench, never joining in. This left several question marks.
NBA Twitter called out the Brow for his behavior and his lack of excitement about James’ achievement.

However, after the milestone, the 19-time All-Star shared a heartwarming moment with Davis. Sitting on the bench side by side, he told him, “I just want to let you know I love you bro” in a clip shared by Clutch Sports.
The 2020 NBA champion has had a hard time this season so far. During his most dominant stretch, the Brow suffered an injury that sidelined him for over 20 games. In addition, despite the monster averages, he was not named an All-Star this season. To top it all off, the Lakers were down and AD wasn’t having the best night. These frustrations might have culminated in his unfazed reaction to the moment.
