Earlier this month, GOT7’s BamBam joined the Golden State Warriors family as the Global Ambassador. It seems that in a short while, BamBam’s addition to the team has proved to be fruitful to both sides. This holds true for Andrew Wiggins’ recent entry as an All-Star starter, something that came as a shock to many.
Wiggins ended up receiving a boost in votes, a result of BamBam asking his fans to vote for the Warriors star.
"I'll give it a chance … especially BamBam."

Andrew Wiggins remains grateful for BamBam’s help in securing his first NBA All-Star place
Wiggins – who has been with the Warriors since 2020 – has never played on the All-Star team before. BamBam’s help earned Wiggins a total of over 3.4 million votes, even becoming a trending topic for Thailand for some time. “It’s the best time to begin 2022! He is one of the best two-way players,” BamBam wrote, urging everyone to send a vote Wiggins’ way.

BamBam’s popularity rests on a global level, his fame only growing since his 2014 debut. The Thai star has 9.6 million followers on Twitter – a platform BamBam uses frequently for announcements and interactions with his fans.
Andrew Wiggins when he was asked if he heard of @BamBam1A prior to the all-star voting:
"I didn't but now I'll never forget him."
Wiggins also says he hasn't gotten into KPOP yet but will "give it a shot…especially BamBam".

Naturally, Wiggins remained thankful to BamBam for the help he received from him and Aghases. “I’ll give it a chance … especially BamBam,” Wiggins said when asked about K-Pop. Though the Canadian star might be unaware of K-Pop, he confirmed that he will never forget BamBam again.
Furthermore, reports have also mentioned this being a Warriors strategy. The team apparently asked the Let Me Love You singer to tweet on January 7, which is when the league had a ‘2 for 1’ special voting going on. The tweet has over 37 thousand retweets and 69 thousand likes. Of course, one has no way of counting all tweets sent by fans individually.
This, adding onto the recognition Wiggins has gained for his game during the season, only guaranteed his spot on the 2022 All-Star roster.
How is Wiggins scoring this season?
Wiggins is currently averaging 18.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. He has been exactly what Stephen Curry needed this season, making sure to play out his role to perfection.

On the other hand, the 24-year-old idol has been frequently tweeting about the Warriors, even celebrating Klay Thompson’s return. His latest EP ‘B’ was released on January 18 – a six-song album featuring artists like Red Velvet’s Seulgi.
