Giannis Antetokounmpo had a great heartfelt moment with his NBA idol at the NBA 75th anniversary ceremony. All the legends present at the ceremony amazed and appalled Giannis. He seemed grateful to have been selected to stand with players of such caliber. The Greek Freak confessed his love for Allen Iverson and claimed that was his major inspiration and idol. The interviewer asked Giannis, “I saw you have a deep conversation with Allen Iverson. What did you tell him?”.

Giannis replied emotionally, “I started playing basketball because of him. You know I had the cornrows, I had the headband. I used to be short back then, and skinny.”
The Greek basketball player during the interview also confessed that he wanted to be like Iverson. He saw a bunch of his documentaries growing up. Giannis confessed, “He said he wanted to be MJ. I wanted to be Allen Iverson growing up.”

Giannis was extremely happy to be at the ceremony. Moreover, he was even happier to be selected to the NBA 75th anniversary team. He is one of the most humble superstars in the game and he does not engage in any kind of beef. This just shows his talent in the game and that’s it.
Giannis says, “It’s crazy man. I’m just happy to be here. I’m blessed, I worked extremely hard.”
