As an analyst of the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal never ceases to entertain the NBA on TNT spectators. Even while analyzing the sport with utmost sincerity, the 4x-NBA champion makes sure that his business ventures run smoothly. On his recent appearance on the BigBoyTV podcast, fellow TNT analyst Kenny Smith has spoken about Shaq’s average day at the TNT studio.

“Shaq has like one eye – a quarter eye – on the game, about half an eye. Then he’s either DJing… Five minutes later, ‘Oh this Papa Johns’… Like he’s doing multi-million dollar deals in the middle of the thing and he’s like, ‘Kenny, hold on, Should I get this three years for $28 million or two years for 19?’” Kenny Smith said.

The Diesel owes his multi-million-dollar fortune to his shrewd investments in companies ranging from Apple to Papa Johns. Besides, O’Neal himself has spoken at length about how joint ventures helped him expand his business footprint. Being an avid investor, DJ Diesel, however, is not completely happy about his Google investment.

Shaquille O’Neal had invested in Google in 1999, before Google had its initial public offering. Then, the Big Aristotle had placed a $100 million valuation on the table. Now, Google, now incorporated as Alphabet, values around $1.35 trillion. Still holding some of Google’s pre-IPO shares, Shaq, nonetheless, regrets the move he made in 1999. According to an LA Times report, the 4x-NBA champion regrets that he could have put more money in the search engine in 1999.

Shaquille O’Neal may not go back in time and put more money in Google. However, as Kenny Smith revealed, the Diesel always goes the extra mile while doing business. Perhaps the seven-footer might have even covered his past business regrets by doing multi-million-dollar deals while he is still working on the TNT floor.
