As the regular season ends, teams – and players – that didn’t make it to the playoffs are seen out on the hunt. Franchises are on the lookout for fresh talent and new faces for the next season. This also triggers trade speculations, especially on social media. Likewise, an NBA star recently made a statement about his franchise after the regular season ended this year, leading to rumors about a possible move becoming quickly rampant.

However, the star has finally broken his silence, during game 3 of the semifinal clash between Devin Booker’s Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets on Friday. After the Nuggets dominated the Phoenix side in the initial two games of the series with huge margins, the Suns produced their first victory last night. Kevin Durant and Booker pitched in 39 and 47 points each to seal the third game.

After the Portland Trail Blazers’ exit from the regular season, Damian Lillard attended two playoff games as trade rumors regarding him gained traction. The Blazers’ star witnessed the Suns duo’s powerful play from the courtside.  In response to Lillard’s attendance of Friday’s game, a fan tweeted, “What’s @Dame_Lillard doing at all those games? Recruiting or getting recruited?”

The All-Star didn’t hold back on his thoughts, immediately replying, “I went to two games lol.” Notably, the Blazers star also witnessed the Brooklyn Nets’ game 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers in round 1 of the playoffs.

Incidentally, in response to the rumors that suddenly surged after Dame’s appearance at the Nets’ game, Bleacher Report’s senior reporter Chris Haynes said,People want to connect the dots, but there are no dots here. Dame is working on a new album and that’s why he was in New York. He also wanted to go to the Knicks-Cavs game but couldn’t get (…) tickets.”
