The trade deadline is just around the corner and teams looking to make moves will have to work extra hard. The Golden State Warriors led by Stephen Curry have been linked to numerous players ever since the season started. However, most of the rumors have not led to any actual deals. This could change soon. In fact, a very important part of the Warriors, who helped his team to four NBA titles can be on his way out.

The player in question is none other than Draymond Green. His contribution to the offense has been a greatly debated issue and a part of the Warriors’ fanbase wants him out of the team. With Green still yet to finalize an extension with the Warriors, a Toronto Raptors star could be on his way to San Fransisco.

After all these years of winning titles and more, it seems Green might leave the franchise. Eric Pinus of Bleacher Report recently touched upon the possibility of a deal involving Green and Pascal Siakam.

He said, “One executive suggested the Warriors give up their younger players (James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and/or Moses Moody) along with Draymond Green to the Raptors for Siakam and others.”

This piece of news doesn’t come as a surprise. Green has one year left in his contract and talks aren’t progressing smoothly. With Green becoming an Unrestricted Free Agent in 2024, the Warriors might cash in on the four-time NBA champion.

Draymond Green’s numbers this season

The former Defensive Player of the Year did not have the best of starts to the 2022-23 NBA season. Weeks prior to the first game of the season, he punched teammate Jordan Poole. Needless to say, this brought in a lot of criticism and media attention even before the season started.
