Tristan Thompson got traded to the Los Angeles Lakers at the end of the regular season to increase the depth of the Lakers’ squad. He has often stated that he wishes to have a career in the television industry after he retires from the NBA. Tristan Thompson is one of the few players who have played in multiple NBA Finals and won the sought-after NBA championship. A few months back, he made it clear he wanted to have a career on television. ESPN hired Tristan Thompson in January to provide commentary for the league games. Until now, Thompson has made appearances for NBA Today and Sportscenter from their Los Angeles studio.

He even took reporter Malika Andrews and Hillary Guy, coordinating producer of NBA Today, out to a Canadian restaurant in Los Angeles to pick their mind and learn more about the television business. As it seems the NBA Champion looks quite serious about his television career and wants to be great at it.

Thompson, who has got television experience as he was seen featuring in the popular television show ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’ has been working with Hilary Guy behind the scenes. In an interview with Andspace, he said, “I told them, ?I want to treat this like I treated basketball in the NBA, come to practice early, watch film.? Me and Hilary, we watched film. We?d watch playback.”??

?So, we?d do a conference call at 8:30, I?d be there. If we?re on air at 12, I was there by 10:30 watching film with Malika. I?d sit down with Malika, and we?d run through the show or with the producers. Anything I do, I want to be great at it,”?the 32-year-old said. Guy was impressed with Thompson’s work ethic and believes he can have a great career on television.

Kim Kardashian was in attendance for the Lakers’ Game 4 against the Warriors. She uploaded a post on social media captioned, “Yesssss Gooooo Lakers,? and tagged Tristan Thompson. The fans speculated the ongoing rift between Khloe Kardashian and the NBA star had ended. However, she went on to delete the post, further confusing the fans. It remains to be seen what’s the relationship status of Tristan Thompson and the television personality.
