Ever since LeBron James hurt himself playing against the Hawks, the Lakers have lost all their games. It is highly unlikely that they will win today’s tie against the high-flying 76ers. So, coach Frank Vogel will aim to gain at least a few wins before his stars come back. 

Without Anthony Davis and LeBron James around, the Lakers are nothing more than a delicate side in the punishing WC. It is only because of their early lead that they’re able to take the impact of this dry spell. So, when can their fans expect spring to bring back sunshine?

In a fresh update, American reporter Sham Charania gave a timeline to the comeback of the star duo. He detailed, Anthony Davis is looking, maybe, 2 weeks away-ish. LeBron James from the time he got hurt last weekend has an expected 4-to-6 week recovery period so to establish. So the Lakers are gonna be without a couple of key stars… in this upside down season.”

Notably, AD has already missed 16 consecutive games after injuring his Achilles against the Nuggets on February 14. Now, in the next two weeks, the Lakers will play some eight odd games that he might miss. As per the timeline, he can make his much-awaited comeback against the dangerous Brooklyn Nets.

What does Bron’s stretched absence mean for the Lakers?

In the pessimist scenario analysis, LeBron James will stay out for a total of six weeks starting 20th March.

This makes him available only in May beginning, after which the Lakers will have only 9-10 games remaining.

Currently, they have 28 wins in the bag and for them to stay in a concrete position, they must anyhow win 12 more games before the playoffs.

This would require the Lakers’ second team to step up and show that they are capable of winning, at least against the mediocre teams.
