Dennis Rodman signs deal to launch merchandise
Chicago Bulls icon Dennis Rodman has some of the most interesting stories both on and off the court. Back in 2017, Rodman did the unthinkable.
He visited North Korea and met his ‘friend for life’ Kim Jong-un. Interestingly enough, after his return, he made an appearance wearing his own T-Shirt. In the design, an animated Rodman is seen spinning a basketball in front of a globe.
“I am Ambassador Rodman, and I come in peace, get your limited T-shirt now“, tweeted Rodman along with his picture of wearing the t-shirt. In just a few hours, numerous people around the world had already bought the merch.

Interestingly enough, the site suggested that the customers will be helping the NBA legend to ‘save the world.’ However, this attracted a lot of flak from certain sections of society. Many critics thought this level of self-promotion without having achieved any diplomatic feat is absurd. Incidentally, Dennis Rodman had failed to negotiate the release of three American prisoners with his ‘friend’ Kim Jong-un. A forth prisoner, Otto Warmbier was freed in a state of comatose medical emergency. He later passed away in an American hospital. Therefore, the backlash on Rodman’s merch was understandable.
Years after this incident, the five-time NBA champion recently signed a deal to officially launch his merchandise. Rodman’s team teamed up with Supply ID Co to launch his merchandise available worldwide from the 25th of November.
“I’m looking to bring the iconic fashion from the 90’s and early 2000’s back in a big way and the guys at ID Supply Co. are helping me bring this vision to life“, said Rodman.
