Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant, who’s ahead on the list of the greatest NBA players ever. This question has sparked a heated debate in the NBA community in the wake of the 2022 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics.
Fans with strong, passionate, and sometimes biased opinions have already started taking sides. Hence, a war of opinions has erupted in the media and on social media spaces.
As Curry inches closer to his fourth championship victory, Curry fans have pointed out that this easily puts the greatest shooter of all time above Kevin Durant in terms of overall greatness. At the same time, Kevin Durant fans have highlighted the fact that Steph Curry is far from being KD’s equal when it comes to efficiency and scoring.

The Twitter wars have spilled over to the media as well. KD is once again dominating the headlines despite being knocked out in the first round of the playoffs.
Stephen Curry vs Kevin Durant faceoff
Kevin Durant is not playing in the 2022 NBA finals against the Warriors. But it is hard to believe that with everything that’s going on in social media spaces.
Curry fans have been quick to point out that Steph has won a championship before KD’s arrival. If he does so again after his departure, the debate is officially over. On the other hand, KD fans have highlighted that Durant completely eclipsed Curry in the 2017 and the 2018 finals to claim the finals MVP in both of the series.

Kevin Durant is a better playmaker, finisher, defender, rebounder, clutch performer, and he’s a top 2 shooter of all time just behind Steph. KD still clears him.

There is nothing Curry is better than KD at, except shooting which isn’t as wide a gap as people believe, percentage speaks volumes Aswell, yet while KD is by FAR the better scorer, Teams play a role in accolades Aswell don’t just give curry all the credit. Klay and dray exist

😭😭 so why did he choke a 3-1 lead to steph than join him, and also gets swept in the first round, kd better thank GSW for those rings or else he got 0

It’s Durant. Steph has had more help his entire career. The one year he didn’t they basically went .500 and didn’t make the playoffs. Props to warriors for drafting well but Steph has always had a stacked roster around him.

Kd needs Curry to thrive df kind of take is this Kd would be Carmelo without Steph lmao a ring less scorer that’s all he would be and regardless of Kd Steph would still have a ring end of discussion

Kd wouldnt have rings if it wasnt for Curry. And KD will never be back to the finals now that he left GSW. Curry is top 10 all time.

Curry and it really shouldn’t be a debate tbh. Curry is a better player when it comes to shooting & efficiency and playmaking. And his résumé speaks for itself in the playoffs compared to KD being a playoff dropper outside of 2017 & 2021. If curry wins his 4th he would better imo

How did you come to this conclusion? KD played with him for 3 seasons and he was the best player on the team all 3 seasons. What other proof do u guys need?

KD rn but if Curry wins this ring and fmvp than he passes him
— Official🐐 (@offcialj0nn) May 30, 2022
Curry easily…Curry won the ring w/o KD,and will win anotha one this year…People be saying KD is the best scorer of all time while his career high is 54 and Curry's 62…Kobe scored 55 points in one half so Kobe is the greatest scorer oat…Curry better shooter than KmidD
