NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most decorated basketball players ever. However, things could have been much different had he not changed his ways while growing up. Shaq was not the easiest to deal with for his parents. In the latest episode of the Big Podcast with Shaq, Shaquille O’Neal joined co-hosts Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams for another exciting session. In one instance, Shaq talked about how he loves to make his mother, Lucille O’Neal, proud of him.
He then opened up about giving his mother a hard time while growing up with his actions. The Los Angeles Lakers legend then revealed that he was spending time with the wrong crowd, even though it was not a gang.

During the podcast, Shaquille O’Neal joked that his father, Phillip A. Harrison brought some sense into him with a smack. He loved his mother’s reaction when he finally started doing the right things. O’Neal said, “I can remember when I had my first little article and the smile on her face. I’m like, ‘Man, she loves me!’ He added, “Now when I succeed, she’s like, ‘Baby, I’m proud of you.’ Even though I’m 50, I feel like a little baby.”
While Nischelle Truner was melted away by Shaq’s words and replied with an “aww,” Spice Adams could not believe O’Neal was already 50 years old and said, “Damn!”. The four-time NBA champion joked about his death. He replied, “Yeah, I’m old. Ten summers left, ten summers left.”
Turner was not a fan of the reaction, and Adams clarified that it threw him off when Shaq said he was 50. The Emmy award winner stated, “Yeah he is 50. But when he is with miss Lucille, he is 5 and that’s very very sweet.”
