Fans have lately missed the icon in action with the NBA on TNT crew. Moreover, Shaq has continued to provide cryptic health updates on his social media. However, this time, the big man provided a clear message on his recovery, along with a hysterical gif. In response, a former Lakers star joined fans in flooding the comments section with rib-tickling memes and reactions. 

The 51-year-old has been recovering from his hip replacement surgery. The 4-time NBA champion recently carried out the long-awaited surgery, the details of which he mentioned on his podcast earlier this month. Moreover, Big Diesel gave fans an update on his health in a slightly eccentric manner.

Hours after the picture from the hospital bed, Shaq shared a positive health update with a hilarious gif. Shaq wrote, “just had to get some BBL WORK AKA #hipreplacement. Thanks and love you all. but no need to worry and yes i’m fine.”

 

Although the update came as a sigh of relief for the fans and his friends, the gif brought out some funny reactions. Shaq’s former Lakers teammate Rick Fox took to the comments sections and expressed his wishes. He wrote, “Good to know bro the Hips Don’t Lie right @shakira ?”

The big man has often unusually dealt with health-related news. Son Shareef’s heart condition came in as a shocker for his family in 2018. The 23-year-old had to undergo a much-needed open-heart surgery to survive. However, moments before the surgery, Shaq made an unusual promise to his son. He said, “If you don’t wake up, I’m coming right behind you because I am killing everybody. I’m gonna be one of the biggest serial killers and they’re gonna kill me.” Shareef O’Neal recovered from his surgery and currently plays for NBA G-League.
