Anthony Davis with 17 points and 20 rebounds outplayed the Warriors with his dominance. In addition, King LeBron James put a 30-point performance as the Lakers triumphed over the Warriors by 21 points. Even before the Lakers put an end to the Warriors, Draymond Green left the game in the fourth quarter, limping away from the court.
An injury in his calf stopped Green from stepping foot on the court again although he was ready to join his team back. Thanks to manager Bob Myers, who put the right thoughts into the 2017 DPOY’s mind. Green shared how Myers stopped him from entering the court again. Though the forward’s heart to play with an injury is appreciable, further time on the court could have ended bad for him.
Draymond Green said Bob Myers stopped him from re-entering the game late:
"Bob stopped me. He said, 'We're down 22 points, six minutes to go.
You go back out there and you tear your calf and do rehab the rest of the summer trying to chase a 22-point lead. We're not doing it.'"
