Star of the USA women’s basketball team remembered WNBA star Brittney Griner after winning the gold medal in the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup. And they went toe to toe with the reigning champions in the first two quarters. However, team USA started to pull away a bit at the end of the second quarter. After the break, the USA dominated the game and won the gold medal with a 22-point win.

After helping the team win the fourth straight gold medal in the FIBA Women’s World Cup, Breanna Stewart had a message for Griner. “This is for BG. I hope BG knows she’s in our thoughts,” Stewart said. “We can’t wait for her to come home and hoping that she’s going to be home as soon as possible. BG, we got the gold for you and we miss you and we love you.”
