That too coming from the Dub Nation, it was definitely unexpected. After Kerr’s speech on the playoffs upset, looks like Green’s punch left a stain on the team.

Before the start of the 2022-23 season, a viral video of Green knocking out Jordan Poole stunned the NBA world. The impact was immediately felt when the regular season started and was seen till their last playoff game. However, looks like it might continue the next season as well.?

9-time champion Kerr shared in an interview, “There’s no hiding from it, the incident with Draymond and Jordan at the beginning of the year. Played a role. I mean it’s hard for that not to impact a team…Those things were definitely challenged this year.”?

Further, Kerr shared the plans for the off-season. The 57-year-old added, “The only way to correct a course is to continue to communicate with players and coaches. Those relationships have to be built. I think that’s a major focus for us this offseason.” However, Poole’s claim about the incident didn’t sound all promising.?

The punch left a bad impact on the 23-year-old. It was seen in his performance this season, especially in the playoffs. Recently when asked about his relationship with the four-time champion Poole replied, “I don’t have an answer for you. It’s just been business. It’s just basketball.”
