Michael Jordan revealed that players at the time thought AIDS did not affect heterosexual people, showcasing the limited knowledge people had regarding the disease at the time. But when Magic came out with his announcement, it shocked him, with Jordan describing the feeling as a slap in the face.

Jordan was then asked in an interview in 1992 with Playboy Magazine about life on the road for an NBA player. “After the game, you see different women. Players have always been knowledgeable about that, to say who?s who and what?s what. If you don?t listen, then you?re putting yourself at risk.” Jordan said.
