In one of the most-awaited showdowns, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry led the team from the front to bag their first win against the Phoenix Suns this season. The Phoenix Suns, who were without Kevin Durant, tried to make a comeback after trailing by more than 20 points in the first half. However, it was too late already.

Continuing their years of rivalry, Curry had some words for Chris Paul after he secured an and-one against him. The Warriors guard shouted, “This ain’t 2014 no more”,?as he bagged the tough bucket. However, Chris Paul seemed genuinely clueless about Curry’s banter as he replied, “I don’t know what happened in 2014″ in a post-game interview.?

Coming to the defense of his teammate, forward Draymond Green explained Curry’s comment on his podcast, ‘The Draymond Green Show”. The 6’6 star explained, “He [Curry] got up and he said, ‘This ain’t 2014 no more’. And I appreciated the bar by Steph Curry because you gotta dig into that comment. Stephen Curry has had the upper hand over Chris Paul since 2014

The Warriors have been one of the, if not the best teams in the league over the last 10 years. However, things were a little different back in 2014. Curry and the Warriors faced Chris Paul and the Clippers in the first round of the 2014 playoffs. The Clippers gave the Dubs a tough 4-3 loss to send them home. However, that was the last time Chris Paul won a playoff series against Curry and the Warriors.
