Jayson Tatum is widely regarded as one of the best young players around in the NBA today. The Boston Celtics forward has had a meteoric rise and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. After a disappointing loss to the Miami Heat in the EC Finals Tatum can now look to rest and recuperate. While the Missouri native can choose to do a lot of different things this off season, he is seen mostly spending quality time with his son.

Being an athlete who is also a father can be tough. Spending months on the road and being a single father comes with its challenges, but not for Tatum. Deuce, his son, is spotted quite often with the Celtics team and spending time with his father. The youngster is a star in his own right and the father son duo have formed quite the pair.

Deuce Tatum aspires for greatness

With him already having professed his love for Paw Patrol, Deuce Tatum seems to have a new favorite character. Jayson Tatum recently took to twitter to speak on his son’s newfound aspiration after watching Across the Spiderverse. The second movie of the trilogy, it has garnered much appreciation worldwide, including from the Tatum duo.

Tatum tweeted, “New spider man movie so good Deuce told me ?Daddy I think I changed my mind I might want to be spider man when I grow up? but I still want to be you? Good save son, good save!? This funny exchange between the two was quite wholesome shows the love they share for one another.

Although being Spiderman may seem farfetched and emulating his father all the more challenging, Young Deuce has recently achieved his first accolade – of surely many more. Recently, posting a story on Instagram, Tatum was on cloud 9 as his son was promoted to the next grade. The proud father shared a picture of Deuce donning a graduation coat and hat – surely a surreal moment for both.

Bonding Time

With the season coming to an end, we can expect to see more of the father-son duo. Nevertheless, it’s always great to see a father being able to take some time out and be there for his son. Bearing in mind that the players will need to report back in few months’ time, Tatum’s commitment towards his son is commendable. Time to sit back and relax!
