The Brooklyn Nets had the best record in the entire month of December. The team lost just a single game in December and started the new year strong. However, an injury to Kevin Durant has posed a huge problem to the team, which was pointed out by Shaquille O’Neal during the post-game analysis. The four-time NBA champion slammed Ben Simmons for his 0-point performance against the Boston Celtics. Despite all the criticism the team is facing currently, the Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson has their back.

Prior to their game against the Celtics, the former NBA champion tweeted out in support of the Nets. Moreover, he had some suggestions for the team’s front-office involving their coaching situation.

The Nets did not have the best of starts to the 2022-23 NBA season. Despite having a talented roster, the team failed to click. The front office took a controversial decision and sacked head coach Steve Nash subsequently. Jacque Vaughn took the reigns from Nash and has done a brilliant job so far this season. However, the embarrassing loss against the Boston Celtics gave the fans a reality check.

Ben Simmons had a shocking night in terms of scoring as he had 0 points during the game. This was touched upon by Shaquille O’Neal during his post-game commentary on ‘Inside the NBA’.

Shaq said, “Yes he had the assist and rebound but, you have the ability to score, you have to be aggressive. He’s not even looking at the basket. Kevin’s not there and I need 12, 14, 16 points, I need you to be aggressive and score.”

While one Lakers legend bashed the Nets and Simmons, in particular, another Lakers legend was more than happy to extend his support.
