NBA superstar Donovan Mitchell has left the Utah Jazz and will join the Cleveland Cavaliers. After not being able to make deep runs in the playoffs, the Jazz made the decision to rebuild. The front office first traded their star center Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
And now they have traded Mitchell in exchange for Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton, and Ochair Agbaji. Also, three unprotected first-round picks, and two pick swaps. During his time in Utah, the state made huge efforts to make its superstar feel at home.

Interestingly, the state of Utah went as far as passing a resolution to show support for Donovan Mitchell. Last year, NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley had some criticism for the three-time All-Star. Shaq suggested that he was not capable of being the best player on a championship team. Barkley indicated that ‘Spida’ was incapable of helping a team other than his scoring prowess.
Many fans felt that the criticism of Donovan Mitchell was harsh. So the city showed its support for their star guard.
