Recently, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal expressed his concerns about the impact of the groundbreaking technology from a business perspective. However, it seems like Shaq isn’t the only one who has contemplated the implications of the new changes, as popular rapper Drake has decided to remedy AI affecting his craft.

Naturally, Drake has taken some proactive steps to halt it before it hampers his career for the worse.
Drake takes significant steps to stop AI from affecting his career

In an interview from a while ago, Shaquille O’Neal described how he wasn’t really a fan of Artificial Intelligence’s impact on society. He pointed out how the technology might inspire creativity but would be harmful if people become heavily reliant on it.
It seems like Shaq’s sentiments on the many harmful effects of AI are being shared by many, including the rapper-musician Drake. Recently, the rapper uploaded a story on his Instagram, sharing a report in which his label, Universal Music Group was reported to be taking down AI versions of their artists and copyrighted songs.
Drake had a positive reaction to the news, following the recent release of a ‘Drake’ AI version of the song ‘Munch’, which was originally sung by Ice Spice. The rapper was visibly irritated with the countless versions of him popping out due to the technology.

“This is the final straw AI!” captioned Drake on his Instagram story. Although it might seem fascinating to many, Drake has been pessimistic in his approach toward the groundbreaking technology. Moreover, Universal Music Group has stated how they view their recent efforts as a “moral and commercial” responsibility to the industry.
On the other hand, the world has been soaking up AI’s amazing capabilities, with even the NBA using much of the technology to improve its existing infrastructure and gather more data.

NBA’s inclusion of Artificial Intelligence in their processes
Last month, the league made an investment in Videocities, an AI-based video-tracking firm. The firm has decided to utilize the league’s existing technology to monitor the usage of NBA content by fans on social media. Last year, they utilized AI and machine learning to generate highlights for the All-Star weekend.
However, the most astounding example among all was when NBA Commissioner Adam Silver unveiled the futuristic streaming experience through the NBA App. Silver placed Ahmad Rashad into a live game between the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers.
