The tables have turned after Game 6 between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings. Considering the Warriors’ flawless home record this season, many trusted Stephen Curry and Co. would close out the Kings. One of them was Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson, who had high hopes for the Dub Nation. However, after the Warriors’ unexpected defeat to the Kings, seems like the five-time NBA champion has switched sides.
Coming up clutch in a huge elimination game, De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk led their team to a crucial win, making a joke of the Warriors at their home. Not just the fans, Johnson himself was left awestruck by Sacramento’s performance. They will now go into Game 7 with a lot of momentum.
Magic Johnson turns his back on Stephen Curry and the Warriors?

Warriors vs Kings will be the first Game 7 in this year’s postseason. After the Los Angeles Lakers’ dominant win to enter the Conference Semifinals, the Warriors and the Kings are now left alone in the first round. Averaging 31-plus points in the postseason, looks like Curry is still in his prime. Bagging three straight crucial wins to take a 3-2 lead, fans believed the 4-time champion will deliver again to book the team’s ticket in the next round. However, the Kings changed the narrative this time.
Curry with 29 points and 5 assists tried his best to cut the 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Coming off the bench, Malik Monk made sure he gave hell to the Warriors. Dropping 28 points, the 6’3 guard increased the lead to defeat the Warriors by 19 points as the Chase Center went quiet. Shocked by the home loss, Magic Johnson had some words to share after the game.?

The odds seem to favor the Kings now, as Game 7 will be in Sacramento. Though Johnson was in favor of the two-time MVP initially, he has now made new predictions ahead of Game 7. The former Laker star tweeted, “I?m going to give the Kings the edge in Game 7 because they beat the Warriors definitively tonight.” Looking at the egregious amount of turnovers from the Warriors at home, Johnson believes the Kings might turn things around to advance.

Sacramento Kings prove Magic Johnson wrong
Johnson had predicted something different ahead of Game 6. After the Warriors’ Game 5 win, the 63-year-old tweeted, “There is no way the Kings will beat the Warriors in San Francisco at home!” The Kings proved the Lakers legend wrong.
