The grand stage of the NBA season is now mere days away. After a thrashing of the Boston Celtics in Game 7, the Miami Heat became only the second 8th seed in history to make it to the Finals. Jimmy Butler and Co. have fended off the best of the East with their calmness and resilience. But now, the scales of the battle change. The Western Conference powerhouses have been waiting for their opponents ever since sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in the WCF. As they were one of the best teams in the 2022-23 season, Denver are the clear favorites. However, there is one who is willing to stand alone against the millions.

There aren’t many who watch the game of basketball as passionately as Skip Bayless. He might have been a target of scrutiny for some of his absurd LeBron James take. During an appearance on ‘All The Smoke’ podcast, NBA great Charles Barkley even called out the analyst for disrespecting James. NBA fans have also noticed his overly critical assessment of the Lakers forward on multiple occasions.

But there can be no complaints about the 71-year-old as a fan. Riding with Jimmy Butler for the playoffs, he revealed his animated reaction after watching the Heat’s dramatic Game 6 loss to the Celtics.

“My wife is still not speaking to me because of Saturday night because I threw a fit,? is how he described the repercussions of his emotional outburst!

But despite the Vice City heading to Boston for Game 7, Bayless didn’t seem shaken. “Heat in 7,” he tweeted after a nail-biting Game 6. His loyalty and prayers were all answered. Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat owned the TD Garden and threw Boston out of the race.

Now as a final with the Denver Nuggets lies days away, the ‘Undisputed’ analyst has made his pick, “I’m going Heat in 6 over the Nuggets. Why? Because the Heat will prove to be a little mentally and physically tougher than a Nuggets team that hasn’t been on this stage.”

No matter what the odds might dictate, both sides stand on an equal footing. NBA fans are expecting nothing less than an eye-popping, intense, and more than anything, a competitive seven-game series.

On one end is the Miami Heat, who have fallen just short of a championship with Jimmy Butler on several occasions. They will fight with a hunger and eagerness to finally be crowned ‘champions’. And then there are the Denver Nuggets. Led by two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, this will be a test of character.
