LeBron James’ production company is all set to produce another documentary. SpringHill Entertainment, co-founded by Maverick Carter and LeBron James, is going to produce the documentary series on the life of the late hip-hop star. Notably, they got massive success with their previous documentary on sporting icon Muhammad Ali. LeBron and his company also clinched an award for Muhammad Ali’s documentary, which might have motivated them to bring more quality work to the people.

When talking about Nipsey Hussle, the late hip-hop star began his career by self-distributing his mixtapes. He further went on to become popular in Southern California and partnered with artists like Problem and Snoop Dog. Not to forget that he also started distributing more mixtapes with the launch of his own label, All Money In.

His best album, ‘Victory Lap’, also came from his own label. It clinched a nomination at the Grammy Awards of 2019. Hussle was a two-time Grammy winner along with being nominated five times. Notably, Nipsey Hussle’s life ended at an age of 33 when he got shot in 2019.

LeBron James on Nipsey Hussle’s documentary

SpringHill Entertainment of LeBron James and Marathon Films of Nipsey Hussle are jointly making the documentary series. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar said to ‘Deadline’, “It’s an incredible honor for SpringHill to have a part in sharing Nipsey’s story and legacy with the world.”

He further stated how Hussle used to inspire and help the people of his community. LeBron finished off by saying how his words and actions still inspire him today, along with the people in his company.

The documentary series would be showcasing the life of Hussle from childhood to the glory days of his music career. Also, the series would be treasured with exclusive footage of Hussle and also several interviews with stars like Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dog, Diddy, etc. SpringHill Entertainment would be doing all the financing of the series.

Aim of SpringHill Entertainment

Maverick Carter, the CEO of SpringHill Entertainment, said the aim of SpringHill was to put the stories of athletes and artists in a more interesting way to the audience. He expressed his joy at being able to produce the documentary series on the life of the legendary rapper. He finished off by saying that SpringHill Entertainment felt honored to produce the documentary series.
