Shaquille O’Neal is one of the richest NBA stars in the world today. With an estimated net worth of $400 Million the big man isn’t shy of flaunting his wealth when needed. Not only does Shaq have expensive cars and materials – he boasts having made the most expensive purchase in the history of Walmart.

Now retired, Shaq has turned into a business mogul off court. Owning brands such as Reebok, forever 21 and the rights to names such as Marilyn Monroe, DJ Diesel is doing quite well for himself. The 15-time All-Star has also invested in newer companies like Ring and Lyft, while another one of his products recently hit the Walmart shelves – the ‘Shaq’ burgers by Meat District.

In the world of Shaq everything seems tiny. The big man is known to be the most dominant player to ever play the game of Basketball, shattering records left, right and center. Although well retired now, Shaq is still not done breaking records.

Speaking to James Corden on the Late Show in 2018 Shaq recalled his spending spree in a Walmart when he got traded to the Phoenix Suns. The NBA Hall of famer reportedly spent a whopping $70,000 dollars to buy furniture and appliances with his card being declined when trying to pay.

Explaining the situation to James, Shaq stated, “I put the card in, and it declined. I said wait a minute, I know I am not broke. So, I said alright, I’ll be back.” Funnily enough, it was American Express that blocked the payment, as employees there felt that someone had stolen Shaq’s card.
