The Los Angeles Lakers have finally shifted their attention from Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine to other free-agent players. After their recent addition of the Japanese forward, Rui Hachimura from the Washington Wizards for Kendrick Nunn, fans are now yearning for another trade. With the right addition before the deadline, LeBron James and the Lakers might be able to turn their season around.

Ever since the Lakers went on a 2-10 record in their first 12 games, fans have been looking for free agents in every team. They believe the Lakers’ roster needs more game-changing players. After scouting for many players, all eyes have landed on a certain Toronto Raptors star.

Lakers fans eager for a Fred VanVleet trade?

Zach LaVine would have been a great addition to the team. James, Anthony Davis, LaVine along with Hachimura seemingly look deadly. However, months after expecting a trade for the Dunk Contest winner, all hope seems lost. After a few reports, fans believe the Lakers have shown interest in the one-time All-Star Fred VanVleet from the Toronto Raptors.

The Raptors guard played a huge role in the team winning the 2019 championship along with Kawhi Leonard. Fans believe, VanVleet can do the same with the Lakers if he is somehow brought into the team. Analysts are predicting the Lakers will send Patrick Beverly and Lonnie Walker IV for the Raptors guard. Although, there is no indication that the ink will dry on the contract any time soon.

Fred VanVleet is averaging 19.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists with the Raptors this season. The Raptors seem to be struggling in the Eastern Conference just like the Lakers. The LA side are aching for shooters outside the line. Thus, Fred VanVleet will be a great addition to the team, keeping in mind his shooting ability.

Will the Lakers move Russel Westbrook??

From a recent report, if the Raptors are not happy with Beverly and Walker, analysts believe there are chances the Lakers might move Russell Westbrook. Though Westbrook has been great, coming off the bench, it has not been enough to turn the tide. The Raptors would need a veteran guard in return for VanVleet. In such a case, Westbrook might be a good solution.

It would be a blockbuster trade if the Lakers decide to give Westbrook for VanVleet. Nevertheless, it will only be a win-win if both teams move up in the standings to make it to the playoffs.?
