Then in 2011, the couple tied the knot and welcomed their first child Riley Curry in 2012. But three weeks later, the former MVP had to visit Africa to help the children. So he had to leave his three weeks old daughter with his wife and also missed his first wedding anniversary.

The UN Nothing But Nets program that provides mosquito nets was important for Stephen Curry. However, it was not easy when he visited Africa to witness the terror of malaria up close. ?It moved me,? Steph says, getting choked up at the memory, ?and made me see that even small changes can have this outsize impact.?
As per reports, distributing $5 mosquito nets has saved 7 million lives in Africa since 2000. ?We want to cure malaria, but we can also do these simple things to stop its spread,? he continues. ?You can spend billions chasing a cure, great, but for so little you can save lives now.?

The four-time champion donated three mosquito nets for every three-pointer he made. He also admitted his visit changed him after what he witnessed and the dire situation. As a parent, he could not imagine himself being in that situation. So he decided to do whatever he can to help. With their foundation, Curry and his wife have been helping children get proper nutrition, quality education, and safe places to be active. The couple often indulges in fun games with the children during events.
