NBA superstar Stephen Curry is one of the most lovable athletes in the league. However, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have haters. Interestingly, one of Curry’s biggest critics surprisingly happens to be NBA legend Michael Jordan. The Chicago Bulls icon has been critical of the Golden State Warriors superstar in the past. In fact, he once questioned Curry’s claim to enter the NBA Hall of Fame. Steph is not one to just sit back and listen. He clapped back at all his haters, including MJ, in iconic fashion.
Back in 2019, Curry was asked whether he sends his shoes to his haters. What he said next certainly might have stunned fans.

Four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry is usually one of the calmest players on the basketball court. However, that doesn’t mean that the Baby-Faced Assassin just sits back and listens to all the trash talking subjected to him.

Not even the six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan is safe from Curry’s retaliation. During a special interview with Mathew J Welty of Full Size Run, the two-time MVP took some shots at MJ.
The host asked whether Steph sends shoes to his haters. In signature Curry style, he said, “Not yet… I might have to send them to MJ.” Curry is, however, not wrong in calling MJ a hater.

The Bulls legend had once dismissed the Golden State Warriors’ iconic 2016 season, where they went 73-9, for one reason. It is LeBron James. King James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the 2016 NBA title despite being down 3-1 during the NBA Finals.
During a meeting where all the NBA team owners were present, His Airness said, “You know, ’73 don’t mean [blank].’… He did it, Michael Jordan did that”, according to the Warriors’ owner.
The six-time NBA champion took shots at the Warriors for going 73-9 during the regular season but losing out in the Finals. Interestingly, the Bulls’ iconic 72-10 record was shattered by the Dubs in that season.
Jordan once questioned Curry’s Hall of Fame status
Love him or hate him, there is no denying that Steph Curry has had a Hall of Fame NBA career. As it turns out, Jordan once disagreed with that claim. Back in 2019, he said, “He’s still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet, though. He’s not.”

Naturally, this brought in a lot of flak. Curry had already established himself as one of the best players of his generation by 2019. The Warriors superstar had three NBA titles, two MVP titles, and multiple other accolades by then.
He then added another NBA title in 2022 while also winning the Finals MVP award. Curry certainly will make it to the NBA Hall of Fame once he retires unlike, even though Jordan had joked he might not.
