Golden State Warriors superstar Klay Thompson was at his absolute best in the win against the Houston Rockets. He erupted for 42 points and made 12 three-pointers during the game. In fact, he came close to breaking his own record of most threes in a single game of 14. However, he created another record instead.
Incredibly, all 12 of Thompson’s made field goals were from beyond the arc. It was the most by an NBA player who did not make a two-pointer in the game. Meanwhile, after making the record, Klay admitted his internal competition with teammate Stephen Curry. The two-time NBA MVP then took to social media to share his message his fellow Splash brother’s actions.
Curry is arguably the best shooter ever, who played a major hand in the way the game is played today. The nine-time All-Star also has multiple three-point records to his name.

Stephen Curry has been out since Feb. 4 with partial tears in two lower-leg ligaments. This was a huge blow for the Golden State Warriors and fans were worried about the season. The sharpshooter was initially expected to be back for the game against the Los Angeles Lakers after the All-Star break.
However, it was then clarified that Curry was only expected to start on-court work after the All-Star weekend. As expected, he has since then returned to the hardwood. However, his return to the league is still uncertain.
