However, this time Magic decided to congratulate Sacramento Kings head coach, Mike Brown, for making history.

Magic Johnson lauds Coach Mike Brown 

A day after the NBA announced the Kings’ coach Mike Brown as the Coach of the Year, Johnson took to his social media with an appreciation tweet. The tweet read, “Congratulations to Kings Head Coach Mike Brown on being named the NBA’s Coach of the Year!” Moreover, Mike Brown stamped his authority with a historic achievement.

For the first time in NBA history, a coach won the award with a unanimous decision. Notably, Brown had also won the award for coaching the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2009. This season’s award marks his second ‘Coach of the year’ award.

Brown helped the Kings’ franchise make the playoffs for the first time in 16 years. The third-seeded Western Conference team impressed the NBA world with its fast-paced approach to the game.
