After Ex-Wife’s Marriage to Another Man, Shaquille O’Neal Admits What He Told Her

In 2011, Shaquille O’Neal divorced Shaunie after nine years of conjugal life. But, last year, Shaunie found love once again and married Pastor Keion Henderson. Despite his ex-wife moving on, O’Neal, regrets the divorce and feels remorse about the situation. Recently, Shaq blamed himself once again for the way his marriage with the Basketball Wives star had panned out. He also revealed what he told Shaunie when she decided to get remarried.

Though Shaq and Shaunie have been separated, the two maintain a warm equation to this day. Besides, the former couple has always shown how they support their five children in each stage of their lives. Given this close bond, Shaq indeed had nicer things to say to Shaunie when she remarried.

Grammy award-winning hip-hop star Monica’s debut radio talk show, Motalk was aired on Saturday. And Shaquille O’Neal, a close friend, joined her for the debut episode as a guest. A lot of interesting and intense conversations happened on the talk show. Monica and Shaq went way back.

Unsurprisingly, Monica and Shaq spent some time weighing in on their relationships and family life. The Los Angeles Lakers legend told Monica that his ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh, and his ex-wife Shaunie, were the two ideal women he had seen in his life.

Holding himself accountable for parting ways with Shaunie, Shaq revealed that he will continue to love and protect her, even though they have moved on in their lives.

“I wish her nothing but the best. I want her to be happy and I want her to, you know, just you know, live a happy life,” said Shaquille O’Neal.

Monica asked, “Have you told her that?” Shaquille O’Neal responded quickly with a “yes.”

Afterwards, Monica pointed out that the five children Shaq has with Shaunie, perhaps, are a factor that keeps their bond strong to this day. The Diesel agreed and further elaborated Monica’s observation.

Speaking of his five children with Shaunie, Shaquille O’Neal told Monica that she gave him something nobody else has given. He also shared how content he is with his five children who’ve been excelling in their respective walks of life. He also added he always tries to thank Shaunie for the wonderful children she gave him.
