Back in 2018, there were rumors of Drake leaving the Jordan brand. He thought of leaving despite working with them for a long time. According to multiple sources, the rapper was unhappy with the partnership with Jordan and wanted a deal more suitable for him. At that time, he was having talks with Adidas. And would have joined his contemporaries like Pusha T and Kanye West. However, after two-three months of the rumors, Drake came to a game wearing Adidas sneakers. And Michael Jordan’s son trolled him in a light-hearted manner, taking advantage of this.

A photo of Drake sitting upset was roaming around the walls of Twitter. The photo depicted a sad Drake sitting on the courtside seats. The reason for his sadness was due to the loss of the Toronto Raptors against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Raptors lost the game for the second time in a year. And this time, they lost the semifinal against the Cavaliers. Drake has been a lifelong fan of the Raptors and their loss really saddened him like nothing else.
Meanwhile, Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan’s youngest son and probably his biggest advocate online, poked Drake by retweeting the video. He took a dig at Drake by comparing his current sadness with the sadness Drake might experience after leaving the brand.
Afterwards, Marcus downplayed his dig by calling it a ‘PettyMJ’ move. He also didn’t want to go all in on Drake as he had not left the Jordan brand yet.
