Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest players ever to have played the game of basketball. The Los Angeles Lakers legend was a terror on the court. He used his size advantage and physicality to the fullest. Shaq would dominate players inside the paint because of his huge size. He was as dominant on the defensive end of the floor as he was on the offensive end.

Shaq also is very supportive of his children playing basketball. Shareef played for his father’s alma mater, Louisiana State University, during his college days. O’Neal has repeatedly expressed his desire to follow in his father’s footsteps to play in the NBA and for the Los Angeles Lakers. Shareef was also in the summer league squad of the Lakers.

According to a recent article, Shareef has now signed a six-figure contract with team Ignite. 22-year-old Shareef will play for the Ignite — a developmental team based in Nevada, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The NBA G League Ignite is a developmental basketball team affiliated with the NBA G League.

Shaquille O’Neal spent the majority of his prime years with the Lakers. He joined the Lakers as a free agent in the summer of 1996. Orlando drafted Shaq as the number one overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. Jerry West played a huge role in Shaq coming to the Lakers. Jerry West also traded for Kobe Bryant in the same summer.
They both were together for eight years in Los Angeles from 1996 to 2004. In that span, they went to four NBA Finals and won three NBA Championships.
