Dillon Brooks, who is infamous in the hoops-world for his on the court escapades, had lived up to his reputation after locking horns with LeBron James. The heated altercation between the two stars has ever since become the talk of the town among basketball buffs. Besides, Brooks threw jibes at LeBron during a post-game interview and spiced up the feud.

Now, an NBA veteran has added his two cents to the discourse on the infamous altercation. LeBron James has already been facing flak for getting stared down by Dillon Brooks. Adding insult to LeBron’s injury, Brooks unleashed an unfiltered slander during a post-game interview. However, the former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins has hinted that it was not so wise of Dillon Brooks to taunt King James.

Even after having the last laugh against the Lakers. Dillon Brooks had no intention of stopping his tirade against LeBron James. “I don’t care he is old,” said Dillon Brooks in a post-game interview, alluding to LeBron, when Brooks was asked about his altercation with the latter. “I poke bears, I don’t respect them until they come and give me 40,” Brooks added.

Though LeBron has faced flak for getting humiliated by Dillon Brooks, NBA veteran Kendrick Perkins couldn’t help but speak up for King James.

In one of the recent episodes of NBA Today on ESPN, Kendrick Perkins and other hosts started to discuss Dillon Brooks’ slanderous take on LeBron. The 2008 NBA champion held a picture of Dillon Brooks in his hand and poured honey over it, on live TV.

After the antic, Perkins said, “I don’t even like holding that picture, but here is the thing right. I understand the big Memphis and I get that. But LeBron James from Akron Ohio okay, LeBron James is from the mud. LeBron James got pride and he [Dillon Brooks] better believe he didn’t poke the bear, he poured honey on himself, and the bear is coming. Saturday LeBron James is on his way.”

Kendrick Perkins added that he appreciates the competitive attitude of Brooks, who went against LeBron. Nonetheless, Perkins again warned Brooks to be better prepared to face the Akron Hammer on Saturday.

How did the LeBron-Brooks feud start?

Though LeBron James was fighting a losing battle against Dillon Brooks and the Grizzlies, at one point he locked horns with the latter. LeBron could be seen saying, “You a muthaf—— bum!,” to Brooks. The Grizzlies star also went back at King James and he stared James down after scoring a three pointer. The 4x-NBA champion faced the music from the hoops community for getting humiliated at the hands of Dillon Brooks.

As Brooks bashed LeBron in the interview to escalate the feud, fans will be closely eyeing the third crucial matchup of the two mighty Western sides on Saturday.
