The 95th Academy Awards ceremony recently took place at Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The host for this year’s Oscars was Jimmy Kimmel. Unsurprisingly, he made sure to not go light on jokes about Will Smith’s slap on last year’s host Chris Rock. Kimmel’s several jibes at the Hollywood superstar were a major talking point about the ceremony. Further, this comes amidst the recent controversy over Rock’s comedy special. In other words, the revisits to the smacking incident don’t seem to cease any time soon.
After the slapgate incident, Chris Rock remained relatively silent. However, he came out swinging with his Netflix special Selective Outrage. He called out Will and Jada Pinkett Smith during the show and stirred major controversy. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal recently gave his take on the comedian’s “bi*ch” jokes.

As the comedy special Selective Outrage was released on Netflix, many shared their take on it. NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was also in attendance for the show. Moreover, senior analyst Stephen A. Smith recently talked about Chris Rock calling Will and Jada Pinkett Smith names. During the latest episode of the Big Podcast with Shaq, Nischelle Turner, Spice Adams, and Shaquille O’Neal further discussed Rock’s jokes. Turner noted that she laughed for most of the show until Rock called out Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.
The NBA analyst talked about Chris Rock calling Jada and Will Smith the “b-word” and added that Rock was the one who was slapped on the national stage. He also touched on Jada cheating on Will Smith and then interviewing him on her show. Shaq chuckled and then posed a nine-word question, “We can’t call people the b-word in comedy anymore?”

The Emmy Award winner stated that the seven minutes where Rock talked about Jada and Will was not comedy. She also said that the comedian’s hurling abuses indicate that the references stemmed from a place of raw anger. To that, Shaq replied that Rock should still be furious and Turner agreed. While Rock’s spewing anger on a Netflix show is making the rounds on the internet, Will Smith had a few words to share on the matter.
