The Lakers veteran once famously revealed in his appearance on The Ellen Show that his daughters are not allowed to date until they graduate from college. In his recent appearance on It’s Non-Negotiable podcast, O’Neal has once again emphasized his reasons for not allowing his daughters to see someone till a certain age.
Shaq told the hosts that he wants his daughters to not settle for less. The Big Diesel wants his daughters to set a high standard in choosing their partners. ” I am saying you have to, whatever your ideal man is, make sure he is that and more,” said O’Neal, elaborating on his message to his daughters.
When Shaq was asked if his daughters find it difficult to date someone due to the high standards he has set, Shaq said that his daughters keep their little secrets. Another host quickly asked DJ Diesel, how his dating rules have panned out for his daughters.

“That was always my rule, I wanted them to you know be able to just at least get college degrees first. But you know, they have their little you know, Moms and daughters have their secret little cults,” said Shaquille O’Neal.
The Big Aristotle did not think twice to subtly decry the ‘mom and daughter’ clubs. The Big Fella has also hilariously held those ‘secret female cults’ responsible for contradicting his expectations.
