The Golden State Warriors have the most continuity out of any team in the NBA. The core trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have been together for more than ten years. They have won four NBA Championships in eight years now. There is a brotherly bond between the three and they love each other and respect each other.
But there was a time when things could have gone south between Draymond and Steph. According to this old tweet two years ago, Draymond once liked a tweet that trolled and bashed Steph’s wife Ayesha Curry. It all dates back to 2015 when Ayesha Curry started a Twitter thread where she said she would choose “classy over trendy” any day of the week.

She also had this to say.

Fans had a variety of reactions to these tweets, ranging from positive replies to extremely negative ones too. ??It was then brought back to the spotlight in 2020 by a Twitter handle that had a negative reaction to Ayesha’s tweet. What was surprising was that Warriors star Draymond Green then liked the tweet. Whether he liked the tweet by mistake or consciously, we will never know. But it’s safe to say that it hasn’t hampered Green and Curry’s friendship. You can see the tweet below.

Golden State Warriors – The importance of personal relationships
Nobody expected the Golden State Warriors to be a modern-day dynasty. They suddenly became a force in the NBA and have been one ever since. The team dynamics were built on a rookie coach and young players who could trust each other. Steph Curry may be the face of the franchise, but everybody is equally important in the Warriors system.

It is more about the team and individual players. While Steph is the leader on the court, Draymond is the team’s emotional leader. And sure, sometimes things on the court will get heated, but it is up to the players to sort it out.
One such bust up in 2018 ended Kevin Durant’s run with the Warriors. Kevin and Draymond had a huge fight on the bench which ultimately factored in Durant’s decision to leave Golden State. Even after staying there for three seasons, he couldn’t see himself as part of the group.
