Earlier this year, the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Dallas Mavericks in the WCF. However, in Game 3 of the series, Curry almost suffered a serious injury on the sidelines.

In the final minutes of the first half of Game 3, the then 3x NBA champion Stephen Curry fell victim to an operations blunder by the Dallas Mavericks. In the post-game press conference, Curry, vexed, complained about the incident.
Stephen Curry expressed his frustrations on the near-fatal injury
The Dallas Mavericks had the ball in the final moments of the first half. With mere seconds left on the clock, the Mavericks attempted a hail Mary but came up short. The box score had the Golden State Warriors on top with a one-point lead, 48-47. After successfully thwarting their opponents’ play, the Warriors squad headed to the tunnels for halftime. However, a waiter tripped Curry on the sidelines. Fortunately, the former MVP avoided a serious injury.
In the post-game press conference, Curry addressed the incident. The All-Star guard complained about the fans on the sidelines. Apparently, some of them had ordered drinks despite halftime being moments away.
The Dubs guard said,?“It’s like 30 seconds before halftime and you order a drink, just wait ’til halftime.”?Moreover, he expressed his frustrations with the Mavericks staff for the unfortunate mishap,?“I don’t know why they need to deliver it right then.”?However, Curry reserved his comments only for the fans and the Mavericks staff. He did not direct his frustrations toward the waiter.?

After avoiding the near-fatal injury, Curry put on a clinic against the Mavs for the rest of the series. Despite the Herculean efforts of Doncic, the Mavericks failed to overcome Curry and the Warriors. GSW advanced to the NBA finals after a dominant 4-1 win in the series.
