It looks like the Los Angeles Lakers are coming short off of the dynasty that it once was. With a lineup that is perenially dealing with injuries and a roster that needs cleaning up, LeBron James’ Lakers are facing the music with each passing game. It was more evident on Friday when they announced the unavailability of Anthony Davis owing to a right foot injury. But their problems only got magnified after their game against the Charlotte Hornets later that day.

During a section of the play, LeBron James was seen tripping and sliding off the court. Fans have adjudged this phase of the Lakers to be the “laughing stock of the league”.

The commentary on Anthony Davis stems from his injury-prone nature, as he is slotted to miss more games this season. He has unfortunately struggled with injuries throughout his career.

According to the Los Angeles Times, even head coach Darvin Ham agreed that they had work to do. He credited the Hornets for a good game. However, he took accountability for his team. “We helped them tonight and we got a lot of things we need to tighten up“, he added.

Ham also said, “We can?t just assume that ? [because] we have first-ballot Hall of Famers on this roster that we can just play around with the game and waste possessions and someone?s going to put their cape on and come save the day“. It is no news that the team has been shouldered by LeBron James and Anthony Davis for a while now.
