“A Waste of Size and the Lakers Will Not Win Till..”: Despite Positive News for LeBron James and Anthony Davis, NBA Fans Unleash Their Harsh Verdict

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t had a great season so far as they struggle to find winning combinations. Even though Lakers great LeBron James has showcased his dominance on the hardwood, fans seem upset with the team. Apart from performance issues, the team constantly faces injury concerns. Furthermore, 8x NBA All-Star Anthony Davis has missed the majority of the season with his foot injury. The Lakers’ bench currently has four players injured, but, in the wake of some positive news, fans continued to show their discontent via social media. 

After losing a couple of close games, the Lakers are struggling in 13th place on the Western Conference table. The team is in desperate need of their star Anthony Davis to return to the team to increase their chances of making the playoffs. Notably, Davis played an influential role in the Lakers’ championship in 2020. However, a recent video that surfaced on the internet could be a moral boost to the team, but the fans seemingly reacted differently. 

LeBron James & co. face the heat from Lakers fans

In a video tweeted by Dave McMenamin, an ESPN reporter, Anthony Davis was seen taking a few three-pointers attempts at a practice facility. The tweet also read, “Some post practice 3-point shooting for Anthony Davis.” McMenamin earlier tweeted regarding the progress of Davis’ injury. He even reported that the Lakers’ star could return to the hardwood in a couple of weeks. While the news could help the Lakers bench, some fans continued to criticize the star for the team’s poor performance.

Fans swarmed in the comments of the tweet and expressed their dissatisfaction. Along with Davis, the fans targeted LeBron James and Russell Westbrook as well.

Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg is known to be a loyal Lakers fan. However, the recent injury worries of the Lakers made the rapper upset. He took to Instagram to show his displeasure with a harsh reality check to the team. He wrote, “I m loosing faith a. D. Need to get his body tight like Lebron I’m tired of seeing him on bench in street clothes.”
