The Miami Heat have come up big time this season. Without being much active with trades, the Heat roped in some underrated players who have turned out to be crucial. Moreover, they also decided to trust their own guys. And one of the guys who certainly took off was Tyler Herro. After an impressive first couple of seasons, the NBA star really picked up his offensive game. Looking as the clear favorite to become the Sixth Man of The Year, Herro is set to sign a huge extension. However, fans are all against it.

The Heat culture has really showered onto the league this season. As one of the best two-way teams in the league, the Heat is the number one seed in the Eastern Conference with big names such as the Bucks and Brooklyn Nets in competition, Miami has emerged as the dark horse in the East. The trio of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Lowry have been the leaders on the Heat. However, without the help of Herro’s massive scoring boost, Vice City won’t be in this place.

But for the fans, it seems Herro is not that good just yet. With the NBA star set to sign an extension this summer, they did not take well to the reports.

NBA star set to make $184 million

Tyler Herro made his early mark when he shined in the 2020 playoffs. Despite not being the crafty scorer he is today, Herro proved to be a reliable option. But this season he is one of the top scorers on the Heat. Falling only behind Butler, Tyler Herro has raised the roof on his potential. He is the only sixth man to put up over 20 points per game this season. He also leads the Heat in the category for most games with over 20 points. Hence, according to recent reports, the NBA star is set to sign a massive $184 million contract for 5 years with the Heat.

Tyler Herro struggled to make his mark last season. With the Heat suffering a crushing defeat in the playoffs, the team was going into a downward spiral. The constant chants of ‘Bubble Team’ came in for the Heat. In the middle of all the scrutiny, Herro made a shocking statement. He said as a young star, his name belongs alongside the likes of Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum. This statement seemed to be surprising at first. However, he has done enough to back it up this season.

Ever since the All-Star break, Herro has been on fire. He is averaging 24.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 8 games post the All-Star break. He has led the Heat to six wins in their last eight games. With big names like Lowry and Butler missing a good part of the season with injuries, Herro emerged as a true savior. His consistent scoring has helped take the pressure off the major stars of the Vice City as they continue to pile on wins.
