Shaquille O’Neal and his fame had reached such heights at one point, that there was even a proposal to bottle him up. Or at least, his essence. The best way to do that, according to a scientist was through his sweat. Yep, there was an interest to make a “cologne made of Shaquille O’Neal’s sweat“. In the new re-surfaced video, a much younger Shaq revealed that many brands had pursued him due to his ingenious marketing tactics.
In the interview, he addressed the perfume proposal. He emphasized how “crazy” it was. “They called me up with this crazy idea. They said some scientist wants to come down“, said Shaq. The Hall of Famer who was playing for the Orlando Magic at the time described the scientist’s looks to be that of Albert Einstein.

Shaq recalled that he was asked to run on the treadmill for an hour. The brief he got was that the sweat that would be produced, would be used to make perfume. He shook his head and cheekily smiled as he looked at the camera and said, “Not a good idea, n***a“.

He discussed this incident on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘. The Big Aristotle gave more details and said that the scientist had asked him for his urine sample as well. Shaq was taken aback

The scientist apparently even had a name for the perfume – The Big DNA. The Lakers legend then went on to hilariously impersonate the scientist.
