With LeBron James and Anthony Davis listed as probable, all eyes will be on the matchup. The big-man showdown between Joel Embiid and AD is sure to bring the house down. Moreover, the King and James Harden will face off for the 37th time.

Over the years, James and the Beard have had some legendary battles. Their overtime thriller in 2015 had every fan out of their seats. The Houston Rockets and the Cleveland Cavaliers matched up during Harden’s come-up as an offensive juggernaut. Houston narrowly escaped with a two-point win over the Cavs. However, Harden might have used some unfair means to weaken his rival.

Notably, the three-time scoring champion received a one-game suspension after his battle with the Akron Hammer for reportedly kicking him.

James Harden once kicked LeBron James

The Rockets were a dominant side at home losing just 7 of their 30 games before meeting LeBron James’ side. Likewise, they wanted to keep their run intact. Harden did his part offensively scoring a team-high 33 points that night. However, after being locked down by the 18-time All-Star, Harden pulled a rather unconventional move. Notably, he raised his leg in an unorthodox manner towards the King’s groin area.

Nothing goes past the eyes of the NBA commission. Likewise, while the Beard got the win, he also got the suspension hammer. LeBron James reacted to the play after the game and said, “Obviously it was not a basketball play & obviously the league will take a look at it… I don’t know what he was thinking.”

The Los Angeles Lakers icon had 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists and seemingly had the chance to tie the game and send it to double overtime. However, it came from the four-time MVP’s kryptonite, the free throw line. He missed a pair of free throws with 4.2 seconds left on the clock securing the win for his opponents.
